Part Three...the Main Entrance
The Main Entrance..."The Wow! Two Towers with an arched entry.
The towers are sitting on pedestals two feet high, then the columns
giving the towers not including the peaks a height of ten feet.
A piece of crown molding above the arch.
Then a thin beam.
Then a wider beam (Machicolation-The projection of the parapet over corbels...)
on top of that.
Here the beams are in place and,we are installing the top of the tower.
Placing the crenelated (dental molding)castle top on the beam.
Now the corbels.
Now the honor of placing the tower peak goes to Tim.
TADA! But it isn't finished yet.
We have a mural we are painting on layered plywood we are putting between the towers.
