Part Four...That's a Lot of Castle
Planning the mural above the entrance. A lot of research went into designing
the Castle. Not only did it have to look great, it had to fit into the allotted
space, had to be installed in sections and we had to work around the
emergency light. Here's is our drawing table and some of our research.
You just can't see the piles on the floor.
Here are the pieces all laid out waiting to be detailed and highlighted.
We cut them out of half inch luan plywood. Primed, painted and fauxed.
Then detailed using the airbrush.
Here is Tim and his little brother Derick installing the first group of pieces.
TaDa...That's a lot of Castle!
All together the center mural was eight pieces layered onto each other.
Here's the Back Gate completed.
